Mrs. Mathews 4th Grade

Welcome to Mrs. Mathews' 4th Grade Class!  This year is going to be busy, yet exciting...I can't wait!  I love to see my students excel in their academics.
My goal every year is to help my parents know and understand what is going on in their child's education, especially in regards to math.  I will do my very best to regularly post links, videos, activities, and assignments related to your child's learning, both academically and socially, as well as parenting resources for you.
Real quick, this is my 18th year of teaching math and science. I graduated with a BA in Education from McNeese State University, and then a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction from University of Texas at Arlington. I am married, have 3 children (all who now attend LSRO), and three dogs.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at leslie.mathews@lifeschools.net.

Let's have a great year!!!

Dear Parents,
You should have received an email from the district about the plans for next week, including learning resources and a food schedule and location. Please review that email. If you have any questions, please contact me and I will be glad to answer your questions.
Above is the suggested plan for 4th graders this week. Please know that this isn't mandatory, but a suggestion to keep up with student learning. I will also add some other resources that the students are familiar with.
Students from rotations A, B and C have the logins already for STEMscopes. If they have misplaced them, please email me and I will be happy to send it to you. Dreambox is my preferred math practice for this week, if that is the only thing you do for math. If your child has misplaced their login for Dreambox, please contact me for it.
Look at the math and science tabs for anything extra that is subject specific, such as notes, youtubes, and concepts we have recently worked on that would be great to continue reviewing at home.

Please stay healthy and enjoy this extra time with your child.
I miss them dearly, and look forward to getting back into the classroom soon!
